Get a Meal, Give a Meal, which ran from June 8 to July 31, 2020, offered members $25 off one order of $50 or more at participating Envision Financial member restaurants. For each order that was placed, we donated $5 to a local food bank through our signature cause The Full Cupboard.
The response from you, our members, was overwhelming. In total you purchased 368 meals, and we reimbursed businesses $9,200 and made $1,840 in donations to The Full Cupboard, providing the equivalent of 5,520 meals to families using food banks throughout the region.
Did you know over 80,000 British Columbians accessed local food banks last year? One of every three was someone under the age of 18. Our local food banks are under increasing stress and the need for food by our community’s most vulnerable populations is rising.
We’re committed to making a real difference in the financial lives of our members and a meaningful difference in our local communities. That’s why we established The Full Cupboard, an innovative community program designed to raise food, funds and awareness for food banks in the communities where we operate.
Get a Meal, Give a Meal is a way of providing meals to those in need while supporting small businesses in our community. We’re doing this by partnering with local restaurants and food banks. When you buy your meal at one of these partners, you will be helping give one to someone in need – it’s that easy!
Together with our employees, members and community partners, we provided over half a million meals for British Columbians last year through The Full Cupboard. This year, we hope to generate even more.
