A message from Dave Lanphear | President

Dear member,

I wanted to reach out to you amid the devastation the province of British Columbia is currently witnessing. Most importantly, I hope you and your family are safe. Secondly, I want to make sure you know that Envision Financial—and the whole team behind us at First West Credit Union—are here for you.

At the time of writing this, all Envision Financial branches remain open to serve you during normal hours. If you plan to visit one of our locations in-person, check the branch locator for the current hours at your branch. The advisors at our Member Advice Centre are also ready to assist you by telephone at 1-888-597-6083, no matter where you are, and can help you with your day-to-day banking needs.

If you experience personal devastation or financial difficulty due to flooding, fires or any other hardships related to the ongoing situation, know that Envision Financial is committed to supporting you. Our team is here to help you get through this with financial relief options we can explore with you. We helped thousands of members through some of their toughest days in 2020 and we’re ready to help you now.

I also want you to know that our credit union is working with a number of credit unions to contribute funds to the relief efforts, in response to our communities’ most pressing needs, including shelter and support for those who are currently displaced.

I will end on a personal note. I have lived in Abbotsford for more than 20 years. My wife Wendy and I are raising our children here and we live just beside the Sumas Prairie. The credit union members that my team and I get to serve every day are also my neighbours. And it’s the belief in neighbour helping neighbour that guides everything we do here at Envision Financial and across First West. As a cooperative, we’re here for each other and we’re here for you now amid challenging times.

In this together with you,

Dave Lanphear
President, Envision Financial
